Anyone else bought this horror game that came out today on Steam? going to try it soon....looks like Silent Hill/Fatal Frame mixed into one and looks fairly good for an indie horror.

There is a demo which you could try out. I've played this and found it kind of reminded me of the old school survival horror we had in silent hill or resident evil.

a lot of people complained about the graphics but they don't bother me, you could force settings in the control panel or use sweet fx.

Overall i enjoyed the game but would say try the demo before buying.

I played it, its really quite a short game, but I understand its just Chapter 1 of 2.
Yes, it is scary.. and with a rather unusual theme (these days) of ghosts, and traditional Indonesian ones at that. Its quite hard to figure out the few puzzles in the game, and how to use the camera properly, but in terms of atmospherics, controls, lack of bugs and scare factor I would say its pretty good for an indie.

Having been to Indonesia many times that's what attracted me actually, and it does have very good localisation aspects. The ghosts could be seen as rather cheesy in some cases but they are based on local folklore which a lot of Indonesians do believe in, so while we may laugh at it in places (the Babi Ngepet for example), I imagine they have a lot of real brown trouser moments playing this.

if I can compare to Outlast Whistleblower.. Its shorter, equally scary, but less sick/graphic, which made it easier to play through for me. You do only have quite a small area in the main part of the game, which you need to keep exploring, and that can be disorientating. Whereas Whistleblower is very linea
