Hell that aint a dream pc. Nowhere near it. Just above standard I would say. :cool:

Where is the Quad Core? The 4gb Ram PC8888 Ram? The 8800GTX SLI? Where are the 10k Raptors. 520w PSU? Where is the 680i motherboard.

Hell I have a 8800GTX 680i motherboard, 2407wfp 700w psu logitech g15. Hell I even have an Icemat.

And I wouldnt call that a decent let alone a Dream pc. And yet some features are better.

Especially the mousemat :D :cool:
 
Well, the focus is not on the components so much, as the peripherals (in my opinion the basis of a gaming PC).

What is the use in a Quad Core, SLI etc, when you're using a roller ball mouse on a wooden desk, or have a £5 headset from GAME (yes, I admit it, saving for a new one).

I almost made the fatal mistake when buying this PC of spending £100 on some 'cheap as chips' monitor before someone pointed out that I'd get more performance from spending £100 more on a monitor than on the components!

Guess I could edit it to remove the components but oh well.

dont get barracuda headphones trust me, sold mine 2 days after getting them. Get some Sennheiser HD595's
 
How are they for gaming? Just wondering as I could probably afford a pair of those (sein) now.

Looking forward to a decent headset, people say it makes a lot of difference.
 
Screw that, get some Grado GS1000 or something :p

If you're doing it properly then you'll want a bigger screen (24 inch dell, or the new 24 inch samsung when it is out) paired with a large 1920x1080 LCD TV for video and gaming. An amp with some real HiFi speakers etc.

mine would be a lot better than that but thats about th best ocuk can do.. its missing a few watercooling things but there is no eta on them so cant add them to basket

Your dream machine would have Norton on it? :rolleyes: :p

And you wouldn't be able to run 3 screens without a PCI grpahics card in there as well, which would probably mean no sound card (unless you can use the 8x pci-e slot for a 3rd card)
