Right I've got a friend who is a trader and manages stocks, etc.

He wants a top top end pc specced up so he can see how much it would cost him to buy it. As it stands budget isn't really an issue ...well until I tell him what it's going to cost lol.

Few pointers...

1. Need decent case size
2. Need OS
3. Need keyboard
4. Need mouse
5. Need gpu able to run 3 x 24" monitors - not really for gaming this machine but needs plenty of grunt to last a few years
6. Need 16 gig of the fastest RAM that can be slotted into the mobo
7. Need decent cooling but liquid not an option....big air would be ideal but then the case needs to help out there too
8. Need option to put 2 SSD's in RAID for holding his trading software etc...Can I get a single normal SSD to run the OS and have 2 x SSD's to run main software? I guess 512k ssd in RAID would suffice? Am I right in looking at RAID 1 for redundancy options?
9. I'm thinking that a 6 core Sandy E or Ivybridge would be ideal for CPU?
10. Need 3 decent 24" monitors
11. Need HIGH END wireless option too for him to stream MP4's to his AV in his living room

When I hear more tech specs or things are he deffo needs...I'll post them up....fire away :D

Ok £3,000 budget or thereabouts he tells me, he works in dollars and he said...
dont worry about the cash I have USD 5k or so but I'm hoping under $4k. remember I am in Mexico

Need a wireless option for him too in all that.

Would two 240gig SSD's in Raid 1 be an option? Need a redundancy option there as it is work critical for him and I guess RAID1 is the better option.

I7 for multi threading is ideal and a min of 16gig of really quick RAM...would a 6 core ivybridge be feasible?

I'd include external storage with back up software in your budget. Just in case. And a Cloud subscription if you think it's required.

Opps I seem to have blown the whole budget but it is completely "themed" :s
