Ok, so i'm in the middle of building my PC back up into the PC-201 and started thinking after reading about some of the new designs with 200mm fans etc...

What would be a nice ideal case for all our toys?

My list
  • Space for a triple rad, and sundry Watercooling bits without affecting other parts space
  • Enough space for 12 HDD's
  • 2 DVD Drives
  • Large enough PSU space for my Enermax Galaxy
so i'm thinking of bolting two PC201's together. :D

any other ideas?

The thread was meant for ideas of case function / options that either exist but are done wrong or options that are not yet available.

Feeling a bit antagonistic today are we ChoÞÞer?
My ideal case would be something like the internals of a v2000/v2100/pc-201, but slightly taller so that it could have a 120.3 Rad in the roof, without it affecting any drivebays or pci slots. the lower section would also be a bit taller, so that it could have a 120mm fan at the back, where it now has 2x80mm ones. And the exterior would look something like a Soldam Alcadia. :)

Maybe have them reverse the case layout whilst they're at it and add a removable board tray. :)make the chassis the same width of the Eclipse wouldnt go amiss either.

Yeah, maybe add a removable motherboard tray, but reverse the layout? Hell no. The back to front upside down layout is one of the reasons i love it. :)

I'm not so keen on the way that most mobo's are using heat pipes. with the board upside down, it just does not look as efficient.

mine would be a v600 abit bigger in length so the psu wouldnt block the cpu as much

Or put the PSU above the graphics cards - there is enough room and you could use a full height CPU cooler - imagine a Big Typhoon vented directly to the outside world!

You have just described a Lian Li PC-343. See here.

My northbridge is at 26c and my PWM at 32c with an Abit AB9 in my G50B (upside down) :)

I'm going to go for my ideal Micro ATX case:).

mATX form factor.
120mm front panel fan with mesh cover
120mm rear fan
Standard PSU size
One Optical drive bay
Two HDD bays
Full aluminium construction - black anodised.
No door, fan controller, card reader or anything on the front. Just 2 USB and audio ports.
All panels individually removeable.
Removeable motherboard tray.
Free beer inside the case.

Sorry, I should have added that the shape of the Sugo is what I'm after;).

If there was a Carlsberg edition I still wouldn't buy it;). Ale is where it's at.
