Dreamcast: Under Defeat

You know what, the DC really did have impressive graphics, they still stand up to some degree even today and were basically as good as the ps2 pretty much.

It was kind of like the situation for this generation of console wars; the 360 has ps3 graphics but had them a year early.

Had my copy since Japanese launch.

My DC still gets regulalry & is easily played more than my X-box & lags just behind my Saturn, SNES & Gamecube as most played console

So many quality games such a short life :(

Has some of the best 2d fighters & shooters available & Under Defeat is deffinitley a brilliant swansong for the machine.

It will but you can buy the DC-X Converter disc which works like the Gamecubes Freeloader & allows you to run Jap/US games without the need for a hard mod :)

It's a god send as without it I'd never have been able to play half the Jap only releases I have like...

Only one from your list i recognise is Ikaruga...the super-hard shooter right? Heard a lot about it when it became available.

I'm tempted to get the disc you mention, the DC is the only console i own now. Sold my PS2 and xbox360 and quickly got rid of the PSP and DS Lite when i had them....i'm get bored of games very easily; apart from Battlefield 2 (love that!).
 
LOL your like me I have a VERY low bordeom threshold when it comes to games...probably explains why I have so many ;)

As for Ikaruga it is indeed absolutley Rock Solid, but fantastic it's also the semi sequel to THE greatest shooter ever Radiant Silvergun.

I'm not sure if the site I get a lot of my games from would be classed as a competitor so wont link but I'm sure if you google DC-X you'll find one easy enough, I cant recommend it enough the only problem is your bank balance may not look so healthy once the world of import DC games becomes available to you ;) lol
 
The most underated console EVER pure class i would say 70% of its games were really good not many consloes have that sort of % these days
 
still got my Dreamcast.Playing Skies of Arcadia on it...one of the best RPG's ever.Also got Shenmue and Grandia 2 on the go :D

Ive got nearly every game on the jap DC, and think that its the best console ever, play it every week without fail. Whats the most anyones ever payed for a game on the DC? Ive payed 59.99 for psyvariar 2 limited edition :p

I got under defeat LE with the dvd case, and it rocks! (should be worth something in few years too).

Mine would probably be for a game on its own - Vampire Chronicles for £60
However with accessories then that would probably go to Virtual On 2 with the twin sticks at over £100 :eek: :eek: & is infact the most I have ever payed for a game period

I've got that Under Defeat LE, it's sooo cool & still pretty cheap as well got my one for £45 on launch.

anyone got Border Down? I love that game, saw it go for £70 used the other day!! best shoot emup ever, fantastic graphics sound and replayability. Anyone who has not played this is missing out big time.
 
still got my dreamcast and loads of games - would never sell it.

Its funny ive been saying for the past 2 days i might get it out again as ive been wanting to play shenmue
 
Best games console ever, other than the megadrive!


I got a dreamcast when it was released, or a week or two after... and its the best.

Making it so you didn't need a modchip etc gave it the advantage over all other consoles. All the games were quality and the graphics were great, and still are.

My dreamcast keeps rebooting itself atm...gonna have to buy a new one from somewhere... chu chu rocket 4 player is the best. Can't believe they gave chu chu rocket away free for using Sega's internet once or something.

Still aint completed Shenmue 1 damn... because i would have had to restart the game to use it with my VGA box.

I need to find somewhere to buy a first hand, legit Shenmue 2 (dreamcast) for a reasonable price.
