Is this game like the latest Broken sword?
Im after such a game, or maybe even like any of the broken sword games. Anyone got any ideas?
Got to work on xp, day of the tentical, Grim fandango ive already done. I dont want nything like Myth, i prefer more linar games.
EDIT: Did Discoworld Noir, and enjoyed that too.

Yeah it's like Broken Sword (point n click) and has a very good, deep story. I've not completed it but have it sitting on Steam ready for me to carry on.

Edit: Oops. I thought you meant The Longest Journey. That's a great game. Hated the one you're referring to - completely spoiled by the appalling voice acting and dull game play.

play longest journey first then play dreamfall. Excellent story in both. 1st one is on the same level as oldskool adventures like monkey island, dott, etc
2nd one isnt as uber but still good.

Bumping this slightly old thread...I scored Dreamfall for £4 and spent the last 2 days playing it through, taking my time, reading in all the dialogue and plot, getting really immersed in it. Fantastic game, I thought, I really enjoyed it.

Completed it half an hour ago, and I'd just like to say...what. the. hell.

Worst ending ever. And I mean ever. I sat through it and thought, dammit, I've done something wrong, there must be multiple endings and this must be the bad one. But no, it is the one and only ending.

*What is the bloody point in ending a game wide open with absolutely no resolution for any of the characters, especially an epic adventure game. According to the devs the game is mean to be part of a trilogy (apart from which Dreamfall was made in 2006, and the only sign of a further sequel is the announcement that it will be episodic, nowt else) - what a ripoff. I feel utterly cheated, it was literally like playing half a game.*

Just because of this ending, i feel that I can't recommend this game - its like reading a really gripping book only to find out that the last 10 pages have been torn out. Cheers Funcom. Stitched.

This games one awesome adventure!

I got really far, then I stopped playing it.. eventually lost my save :\

Isn't Broken Sword point and click - I remember this being more of a WASD game (i.e. no clicking you can control where she runs to).

It's an okay type of game but the ending sucks (i.e. it's like a Half-Life 2 ending rather than a proper ending).

I really couldn't get into either of them - maybe it's because the first one looks kinda dated, and that I've never been a fan of point and click that much - but...well, I never really got into it. Which is a shame because it looks really good, lol.
