The last few nights i've dreamt about work, that is to say, the job I currently have.

I've had conversations with managers, colleagues and even found solutions to problems which actually work when I tried them the next day!

Now, I know to an extent everyone dreams, but I normally have no dreams where I remember anything, they are few and far between, but what could this mean???

Do any of you dream things like this?

Children/babies dream to make sense of things they've experienced through the day.

Sounds like what you're doing :)

Yep, if I sleep worried about work, I normally dream a about work and sometimes a non violent solution presents itself.

I've had that kind of thing before....especially if I've been working on something taxing and trying to solve problems. I think it's the minds way of working it all out but I also think it could also be a sign of stress too...

I've had dreams about work problems that are (or at least seem) completley unsolvable in the dream and I just wake up stressed/confused. A few mins later I've completley forgotten what the gist of it was! Bonkers!
That has to be stress related.

To dream that you are at work, indicates that you are experiencing some anxiety about a current project or task. The dream may also be telling you that you need to "get back to work". Perhaps you have been slacking and need to pick up the pace.

To dream that you are at your former or past work, suggests that there is an old lesson that you need to learn and apply to your current situation.

To dream that you are hard at work, signifies success and merit. Alternatively, it may suggest anxieties about a current task or project. You may need to "get back to work" and stop procrastinating.

There's quite a few dream 'websites' out there and the general consensus is that you are worried or anxious about something at work?

I have Very vivid dreams most nights. Most times they don't bother me but sometimes they are a bit disturbing.
There are times throughout the year when i have to concentrate to think whether it actually happened. I kid you not. There is this time spent on the crapper first thing in the morning where i work out real from dream. It's not often odviously but when it happens it takes about 3 hours to sort my head out.
Most mornings the dreams are forgotten instantly and there is no head ****.
I don't mind, what can you do but enjoy. :)

do people get the same as me, you wake up at 3am with a solution to a huge problem at work. I HAVE to pull out my laptop and VPN in :(

:) I've done that plenty of times. However, the dreamed up solution doesn't fix the problem at all !

If you are workiking while you sleep, it only seems fair that you be allowed to sleep while you work :p

Excellent!

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not under any stress, i'm relaxed at work and from reading sp00ns post maybe I do slack!!

The thing is, its not worried work, the people I work with are there and its at work, but everthing seems normal!

Gilly,....thanks for that! ;)

OT (well slightly), I did research into sleep and brain patterns a few years ago, specifically REM. It was noted that dreams are the brain catalogging information like a file structure. When you have obscure dreams like a black man wearing a white dress and red heels, sat at a computer desk drinking G&T (no, I haven't had THAT dream,.......yet), its a fair bet that at some point during the past day/week/etc, you have seen a black man, a woman wearing a white dress, a computer desk, and a G&T and that there was something memorable about each item.

Your brain, as it stores the information, swaps it about and thats how you get the unusual occurances.

I keep dreaming about work too (work at Focus DIY  ) but it's strange stuff like people wanting to buy an N64! (we had a long reminisce the other day about Goldeneye :D )

I regularly dream that I'm serving people at work, drives me up the wall :/
Usually dream that someone is causing hassle, or that they're taking ages about buying something when we were meant to be closing 10 minutes ago, that kind of thing.

I've been dreaming about work for the last few weeks now! And i know it's because i'm anxious as on September 4th i start my first ever real adult job - and its teaching English in a secondary school, so i think i'm allowed to be a bit nervous! But i'm also super excited and want to get there and do stuff!

This week i have also had some other extremely random dreams; one involved Hitler and the Queen, then there was a few about great white sharks and having to escape attack, then there are the saucy ones! ;)

I love dreaming but i can see people's points when dreams worry them. They can be totally random!

I sometimes dream about work, although it's usually only after something 'interesting' happens. I don't know why I dream but in the dreams, different things happen which can either be good or seriously messed up. (Yes, I did dream about watching Dame Edna getting laid whilst I was working)
