As a student where is the best place to buy it? Either disc or download, no preference on that front. Also what is the cost, so many different prices I'm not sure what's good value or not.

I've dealt with software4students before, they've got dreamweaver cs6 at £115, this was/is the last version that is not online only.

But as craig321 said do you really need dreamweaver.

It's a requirement for a girl who is stating a course in IT at tech. I'm helping her family out with computing info. Is it CPU heavy? I am looking at building her a desktop pc to do it and other coursework on it. I was going to see into a 6 core AMD build but I don't know if that's overkill for her course. It can't not help having 6 cores though. She wouldn't be gaming on it either, purely for her course and all the IT stuff that it will entail over 2 years.

Windows 8 and Dreamweaver were listed as preferred technology/software for her to have for the course on a machine.

As it's a specific I.T. HND she is doing, a decent machine will be needed to cope with the tasks.

Wouldn't a laptop be better for a course? She can take it into college to work on it there as well.

Have you asked the college if they can provide a licence if it's something that's required for homework? No idea if that's possible (in terms of Adobe licencing), but it's worth asking.

I ran Dreamweaver CS5 alongside Fireworks and Photoshop on a Pentium 4GB RAM laptop for around 3 years. Ill just let you put that into perspective..
