I use software thats similar to DW called Nvu... its free and laid out pretty much the same as DW

I use vi (Linux editor). None of this GUI stuff for me.

I am nothing more than a hobbyist though - and it shows given how long I've been taking to attempt (and not yet succed) in a revamp of my main site. For professional development where time matters, I can see the benefit of Dreamweaver and the like, so yes, it's definitely a geeks versus professionals thing.
