Dremel accessories

I've just bought a Dremel 4000 with multichuck and was thinking of picking up one of those massive selection boxes of bits and accessories.

Could anyone please recommend a kit? They seem a bit hit and miss according to Amazon reviews.
 
They are but depends how hardcore use you want from it. For what I wanted there used to be a value pack in the popular orange DIY store that was between £8-12.
 
Dremel 721 135 Pieces, Dremel 722 175 Pieces, I consider poor value in my opinion.

Sets are mainly sanding, cutting & grinding discs.

There are other makes, which offer better rotary tool bits sets.

Thanks. I've noticed that the Dremel accessory kits just contain multiples of the same thing. I know that's expected but I'd like some range of stuff. Do you have any experience of or could recommend any of the better sets?
 
Cheers, I hadn't stumbled across those on my previous searches, that's much more reasonable than anything else I've seen.

I'll have to check my non-Dremel multi-tool fits into the dremel Router Table I got at a boot fair some months back.
 
Just be aware the cheaper sanding drums are rubbish compared to the proper dremel ones. I use the sanding drums a lot for shaping pistol grips and all the cheap ones I tried just disintegrated in no time, whereas the dremel ones last ages.

One cheap set that is worth getting is the Silverline diamond coated discs. If you cut any plastic, this is perfect for it. Its thinner than the brown Dremel cutting discs and doesn't wear down, plus its a lot safer as it wont break or shatter. Also cuts non ferrous metals, but not sure if it'll cut them as well as the brown discs. I just use it for cutting olives off of pipes and other odd jobs.

Excellent, thanks. I need to cut some plastic so I'll pick some up. I'll also look at the proper Dremel accessories again.

I'm assuming you meant the Silverline 719813 5 Piece Vented Diamond Cutting Disc Kit.
 
I got some small 1/8" shank router cutters from a UK firm a few years ago, will try to find some details.
You can get 1/12 scale cutters for skirting, dado rail, hand rail, etc. but only in a 1/4".
