Drill Bits for 1mm Steel Case?

Alright, I'm thinking of getting one of those nice Tube-like resevoirs (like a Case-Coolplex 25, or similar) and mounting it on the top of my case, a YY-Server Cube. Currently using a drive bay Res, but its a bit pants, as the Radiator is about on the same level as it, leaving me to have to give the case a good shake about every 2 weeks or so to dislodge any errant air bubbles stuck in the Radiator.

Now...this is going to need some drilling action, and I was wondering what drill bits I should pruchase for drilling the small mounting holes for 4x nuts and bolts to hold the Res on top of the case, and also what drill bit I should use for drilling the 3/4" holes to feed the WC piping through?

The case is steel (and weighs an absolute ton, with all the kit + 120.2 Res in it, filled with water) and I think its about 1mm thick or so.

Last time I tried to do this, I went to B&Q to see what the monkeys there would reccommend, but the case just broke the drill bits that they gave me. :p

Maybe I should get a Dremmel or something for this type of thing?

For the mounting holes just buy a couple of good HSS drill bits of the required size and be careful with them. You don't need to melt your way through the case. Just use gentle but firm pressure and let them do their work.

For the tube holes you need a 3/4" or 20mm hole bore or if you are going to insert grommets to protect the hose (highly recommended) then something like a 26-30mm hole bore. B&Q sells a kit that goes up to 127mm for just under a tenner.

You need HSS drill bits, start off with a small diameter and work up gradually will make the bits last longer and avoid overheating and becoming blunt.

19mm holes you will need a quality bi-metal holesaw which will last but around £25-30 for a decent one, a Dremel would be more practical and useful for more uses for a little more cash.
