I went out for a drink last night and i will be going out in the car later. But what i want to know is how long do i have to wait till i can actually drive. I still have the shakes abit but dont feel drunk.

well it's going to depend entirely on the way your body deals with alcohol. If you've got the shakes then I'm guessing it would be daft to drive. Regardless, it probably isn't a good idea to blindly follow the advise dished out on these forums!

About 3 glasses of Vodka and redbull before i went out. 1 glass of Vodka and coke, 1 shot of Sambuca, 1 glass of vodka and orange and 2 pints of Strongbow.

If you have the shakes you need more alcohol!

Seriously though, drink plenty of water and get something to eat. Around 1 unit per hour is processed by the liver so work it out and you'll have a fair idea.

The shakes will be from the dyhdration and your nutrition rather than any of the alcohol :)

You've had about 10 units from the list you posted. If much more than 10 hours has passed since you started drinking you're going to be more than okay after some decent food and drink!

You could use the more scentific method... http://www.rupissed.com/

Im drinking a pint of water every hour and we are having a big buffet soon so i hope that stops it. I mean i dont feel drunk at all. Just weak and achy. And the obvious shakes. I feel im able to drive but my reaction time may be reduced.

It depends on what kind of person you are. Do you feel that your reactions are so borderline poor than any possible impedement is risking other people's property and lives? Or, are you confident that, despite an increased risk, it's minimal and not worth the inconvenience of not driving?

My experience of morning-after driving is one of actually feeling very awake. Almost like an extra clarity of vision has been bestowed! Feeling weak and achy is to be expected so just move about a bit, get a bit of fresh air first and probably drink something other than water. Try orange.. or coke. Red Bull is being proposed in scentific circles as good. I reckon you'll be fine :)
