hi guys......just a quick answer here guys would be appreciated, before some people give the " ANOTHER USELESS THREAD" statement :)



when i go out im usually a beer guy....but sometimes get fed up of the same beer and **** taste beer can leave you the next morning.....what drinks do some of you reccomend to try...EG: vodka mixed drinks, what do you think is the best mixed vodka drink?? :)

i usually stick with the basics as i don't know of anything else. voddy with lemonade for ease to drink and south comfort and lemonade because it tastes damn good. White Russians are nice as well..
 
Southern Comfort and lemonade is by far the nicest mixer drink I've had.

But I've found that with spirits I end up with a dodgy stomach the next morning, rather than a nasty taste in my mouth, which is probably even worse!
 
Whatever you do, don't drink alcopops.

Anyways, try things out, thats how I got to know about so many drinks.
Try "horse semen" beer and milk, it's actually tasty.
You've got spirits and mixers, then wines too.
Order something which takes your fancy, the first thing into your head.

But I'm a beer man usually.

If you want to give yourself diabetes. It's far too sweet to mix with something like lemonade. It's actually not that bad with an Indian Tonic or Soda Water.

Once I'm finished on the beer I move to the whiskey, back home the tipple of choice is Powers or Bushmills but over here those are lacking and I have to resort to Jamesons. No mixers - drank they way they're supposed to be.

And quite possibly, the gayest.


A nice old triple distilled scotch with soda. A gentleman's drink
 
I love most brandys on their own. Decent vodka neat out of the freezer is OK. The cheap stuff gives me hangovers. Vodka mixed with coke, fruit juice, or best still, stick some in a blender with fresh fruit and ice, and a touch of honey to sweeten (also works well with rum)
 
Vodka and coke is probably the most easily available for mixes plus it has the advantage of disguising the nasty house vodka that you will find in most pubs. Vodka and Red Bull can be good if you are feeling quite flush as it is not cheap normally but not everyone likes the taste and it does have a reputation as rocket fuel.

Vodka and lemonade I find a bit sickly, vodka and orange juice is not too bad but I wouldn't drink it all night.

If you want something a bit different then either Canadian Club and Ginger Ale or OVD and orange juice are worth trying although the latter is rather sweet. :)
 
Well since im young im not very experienced in alcahol, so I stick to what I know. You could try Magners cider or Vodka mixed with your preference.
 
Can't stand Vodka anymore, it's guaranteed to make me throw up at the end of the night.

Much prefer whiskeys now, current favourite being JW Black or Gold Label for it's sweet smoothness. There's loads of different whiskeys around that have their unique tastes which is why I love to try different ones each time I'm out. Give it a try :)
