Drinking Alcohol After A Vasectomy

I've just had the snip, no big deal, didn't feel a thing.

The nurse said to take Asprin to help with the pain and discomfort, but not to drink alcohol because it doesn't mix with Asprin.

So the logical thing to do is take Cocodamol, and I've managed to get some from my Nan.

So can I have a drink then? SWAMBO is a nurse, she says (unofficially) I can.

Anybody?

Booze and codeine do not mix. Cocodamol is a generic paracetamol/codeine mix, if the stuff your nan gave you is mighty pow'rful stuff avoid the sauce. If it's just the generic over the counter stuff I shouldn't think the alcohol will have a massive effect unless you go out on a bender.

The Cocodamol is the "good stuff", damn, I've just taken some too.

Is there anything I can take and still drink, I don't want to waste my time off work under strict instructions to do **** all.
