Good afternoon,

Drinking copious amounts of alcohol sits at the heart of many people’s weekends; these drinking sessions often involve "Drinking Games".

My question for you today is: What are your favourite drinking games and how do you play them?

Matt

Three man. Google it. :)

Another game we play is called 'next'. You basically down your pint then say next to the person next to you. They then have to follow suit.

Start by declaring international drinking rules

Beer pong:
2 teams of 2, 9 cups filled with beer each, 2 ping pong balls. Each team takes it in turns to throw the balls into the opponents cups, if you score, they have to down the cup. Spillage is lickage.

Arrogance:
A pack of cards is shuffled and the top card turned over. The idea is to guess whether the next card will be higher, or lower than the card most recently turned over. Each person has to 'bet' a portion of their drink depending on how confident they are by pouring it into a jug. If you get it wrong, you down whats in the jug, get it right and the next person continues the game.

Sexual animals (not sure if actual name):
Organise into small teams (needs a large group of people). Each team gives themself a team name such as "Randy Rhinoes", "Pedo penguins" etc.. along with an associated action. Every team stands up in turn to show action and say their team name. One team then starts the game by saying their team name and performing their action, then passes it on to someone else by saying their team name and performing their action. Your team drinks for hesitation, or getting a team name/action wrong.

Ring of fire - Usually played with:

Waterfall:
Everyone stands up and starts drinking, who can only stop drinking if you finish your drink, or the person to the left of you stops drinking. Only the person who originally drew the card can choose to stop drinking

20+1:
Start by giving a direction and saying either one, two or three numbers. saying two numbers reverses direction, three numbers skips one person. You are not allowed to say one number if the previous person has just said
one number etc.. Numbers must increase each time they are said. The person that has to say 21 has to down their drink

One Fat frog:
People stand up in turn saying "one" "fat" "frog" "jumped" "into" "the" "pond" "splash" along with the associated action. After a full rotation, two people must stand up both saying/performing in synchronisation, after another rotation three people must stand up for each word/action. If you get it wrong, you drink.

I have never:
You say I have never done something, if someone on the table (including youself) has done that action, they must drink.

Most likely to:
You declare something that someone is most likely to do. Everyone playing the game then votes on who they think is the most likely to do that thing. The person with the most votes has to drink.

Thumb master
The person who draws the this card is declared thumb master. At any time during the night they might put their right thumb on the table. At this point everyone else must also put their thumb on the table and hold it there, the last person to do so has to drink.

Eyes master:
If you make eye contact with eyes master, you have to drink.

Question master:
If you answer a question asked by question master, you have to drink.

Drinking buddy:
Declare someone your drinking buddy. Everytime you drink, they drink. (hint, try and form chains)

As well as other things such as god cards (Make one rule that everyone has to follow for the rest of the night), etc...

This is the witch:
Person 1: "Person 2, This is the witch"
Person 2: "The what?"
1: "The witch"
2: "Ahhh, the witch, Person 3, this is the witch"
3: "The what?"
2: "The what?"
1: "The witch"
2: "The witch"
3: "Ahhh, the witch, Person 4, this is the witch"
etc... Try and loop back to other people halfway through the chain for added complexity :) Oh, if you get it wrong, you drink.

Also, if we have enough time, the LOTR drinking game. Rules are far too long to explain here, google it.

Theres also countless word association games, and many many others.

Try the Jeremy Kyle drinking game. Every time he comes across as a preaching, sanctimonious ****, drink.

Best to buy a stomach pump from eBay first though.

D&D is always a good one - watch the dungeons & dragons film and drink every time there's a fantasy cliche - you'll be out of it within the first 10 minutes ;)

Not sure what this one is called, but you need the following:

6 x shot glass
1 x dice
lots x litres of spirits
People who don't like their liver

Roll off/wrestle/rock, paper, scissors to see who starts.

Roll the dice, if the corresponding glass is full, down the contents and repeat, if the corresponding glass is empty, fill it to whatever level you want and pass the dice to the next person.

If you don't have several litres of spirits to hand, you can always play this with 30 of those little miniature bottles of various liquers and spirits you can get (although you will regret it the next day).

Drinking snap is amusing, you can either play: only the last person to slap drinks, or only the first person to slap doesn't drink. Depends how quickly you want to get drunk! (Play this with Absinthe, it's "interesting")

==========

I've always wanted to play this one too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard_Staff

**** (poop) **** (shag)

Get a circle of a few people, and star counting a number per person in a direction. Every multiple of 3 needs to be replaced with **** (poop), every multiple of 5 with **** (shag) and any multiple of both the person must say both.

If someone gets it wrong, they drink and start the game again from 1, but moving the other way around the circle.

Best we've managed is 72 with 9 people playing.

Also, not so much a game, but a drinking rule in SA called Buffalo. You need to hold and drink with the hand you are not proficient in. If you get caught drinking with your good hand and someone, ANYONE, says 'buffalo' you must down whatever you are drinking.

Learned that one from Round Table a couple of years ago when they went over there. Nasty game as the night progresses!

two simple games Fuzzy Duck and frogs

Fuzzy Duck
First person starts by saying fuzzy duck next person says fuzzy duck and so on until some one decides to say ducky fuzz which reverses the direction of play there is no restriction on what the next person says (either ducky fuzz or fuzzy duck) however people are quickly caught out and have to drink a forfeit usually measured in fingers of beer. It is always advantageous to mention "does he ****" or **** he does" before the game starts because this is in peoples minds and with a fast paced game you will find people blurt these out.

Frogs
This is simply a maths game based on frogs in turn people say 1st person - 1 fog, next person - 2 eyes, next person- in a pond, next person - plop. This is then repeated but increased by two so the correct order should be 2 frogs, 4 eyes, 8 legs, in a pond, in a pond, plop, plop. Again this is repeated 3 frogs, 6 eyes, 12 legs, in a pond, in a pond, in a pond, plop, plop, plop.

For some, especially the more inebriated, the maths becomes difficult and keeping track of how many times "in a pond" or "plop" has been said also becomes confusing this leads to false accusations as well as mistakes increasing the fines doled out.

Have fun

Please fully star out all swearing in future. Thank you.
