Drive is showing up in BIOS and W10 Disk Management but I can't see it in my computer?

I can't make a new path or rename the drive, I can only make a simple volume.

Is the drive allocated? What does it say exactly in Disk Management?

not home just now, but from what I can remember it was just unallocated space, and I couldn't give it a drive letter, I could only create a simple volume on it.

Yeah that's what you need to do, then you will be able to use it. You give it a drive letter when you create the simple volume and it then becomes allocated.

I see, never had to do that before with a hard drive, thanks for the help guys!
