Hi,

I have an Asus P5KC mobo which has;

Southbridge
4 x SATA 3.0GB/s
JMicron JMB363 - RAID 0, 1, and JBOD
1 x SATA 3.0GB/s
1 x eSATA

I have the following connected via SATA;

Disk 0 - 250GB SATA-II partitioned for OS (Win 7) / Games
Disk 1 - 320GB SATA-II partitioned for Pagefile / Drivers / New DL's
Disk 2 - 2 x 250GB SATA-II RAID 1 for Music, photos, videos etc

What I am finding is that some days the RAID 1 storage, which is on the JMicron controller, will allow access and use of all files on the drive, however, I cannot save to the drive, create new folders, or move files around.

Sometimes I can reboot and then every thing will be okay again, other times it will not, it all seems a bit random. Checking the security permissions all seems okay.

Running Windows 7 for a year or so now, however, iirc it used to do the same with Vista, and possibly XP, but I haven't run XP on this PC for quite sometime so that could be a red herring.

TIA for any help.

Well I did a bit of digging, and found that the JMicron JMB36x driver I had installed was probably a year or two old, and a new one was released ~1 month ago, giving that a go.
