Drive

Probably not a lot, I doubt it makes a big difference to theft risks, if there is an increase I would imagine it would be due to the increased possibility that someone could hit you.

Cant see it making that much difference though.

It rarely causes a drop in premium. Even garaging makes very little difference any more. Of course all insurers are different, I dare say there are some that may discount heavily, but I know of at least 5 personally that don't.

My car garaged and my car on the drive = no difference in premium

I'd like to say that once agian, I have been proven wrong by Fox, BUT!!

for me £865 for my car on my driveway, £835 for my car in a garage. And I live in the middle o nowhere, literally! I'm on a PL16 post code, and I'm 10 miles from a town, 1/4 a mile from a tiny village full of old people!

I'm actually paying less than that, but that was a quick quote on NU's site.

Conversely, it can make an immense difference on a motorbike.
When I got my Suzuki DL1000, everyone wanted about £1900 to insure it. At least a dozen companies returned the same kind of figures.
By putting it in a shed (wooden, metal or otherwise) it dropped to £800.

Needless to say, I invested in a shed!!!!
