Driver BSoD - any way around it?

Hi,
I bought an Abit AirPace WiFi card, and the drivers (both 1.1 and 5.1.1.0) keep BSoD'ing on me, usually when idling for a while. I have some generic Atheros drivers that work, but they're a lot worse and interfere with my speakers, so I'm trying to get the official driver working.
Any suggestions? I've tried disabling ACPI 2.0 and ACPIC in the BIOS and removing the sleep mode on the driver but it still isn't working correctly. Someone said they forced the driver to work under W7 (on another forum), is there a compatibility mode of any sort? I've tried running the install under Vista compatibility mode, but no luck.

Are we talking 32bit or 64 Drivers /OS here?

Looking at the Abit Link above and assuming by the comment about Vista compatability mode i'd assume you're using Windows 7.
There is no windows 7 supported driver on the website thus I wouldn't expect it to work smoothly in windows 7.

I'm running 7.7.0.319, just seen they have a new 8.0.0.144 version. See if that helps.

EDIT: Forgot to say, when you point to the .inf via Device Manager, I have mine set to AR5007EG for the model.
