This software is awesome!
I was having big problems getting the Catalyst 7.3 drivers to work properly under Vista x64. First of all when I installed them I ran right into the BSOD problem. After following the instructions to disable the problem service I rebooted and everything seemed to work.
I shut down my PC that night having not installed any new software or changed any settings and the next time I booted up I was greeted with the following:
I tried fully uninstalling the drivers using Catalyst Install Manager and reinstalling them again, with the same results every time. I couldn't open CCC (same error).
Eventually I decided to buy Driver Cleaner .NET ($9.99) and amazingly it fixed everything in 5 minutes. I uninstalled the ATI drivers, rebooted into Safe Mode, wiped everything ATI related from my computer, booted normally and after installing the Catalyst 7.3 drivers again everything worked properly.
I did notice that Driver Cleaner wiped the default ATI driver that ships with Vista, but that's a good thing in my book - means there's no danger of conflicting drivers (which is probably what was going wrong for me).
Sorry if the above sounds like a sales pitch, was just hoping that this would help anyone who ended up in the same boat as me. I was tearing my hair out in frustration trying to get the drivers to work and without DC.NET existing I'm not sure how I would've solved this problem.
