Heya guys, my pc is very slow at booting and loading desktop, once its fully booted it seems to run nice and quick. I've done the usual (virus scans, defrag, cleaned temp etc) and it hasnt seemed to help.

It started being slow about 3-4weeks into a fresh install and apart from things like photoshop, itunes, CCC and msn I haven't instaled much (games are all on an external.)

I'm thinking it might be a driver issue? I'm going to try a driver cleaning program but I'm unsure of which to use, can anyone recommend me one?

Thanks, Mikey.

Unlikely to be drivers, and any 'cleaning' you'd do would likely bork it up further.

MSCONFIG is a good place to start

The only two things I have in startup are msn and CCC. I've been using pcs for 7years and I'd usually have no problem diagnosing this kinda thing.

iTunes should have an entry under Startup. How did you install it?

There's also C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
