I've been playing BF3 for a while now and on various days, I get the following error:

se6q6v.jpg

I've done fresh driver installs using driver sweeper & safe mode. I've used previous driver versions, but nothing seems to stop this from happening.

My Spec is:

AMD FX 6100 @ 4ghz
Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
16gb Patriot RAM @ 1600
2x MSI 660 SLI - Stock
128 & 60GB SSD

What else could I try to stop this from happening? It's not just BF3 where this occures, but it's my primary game.

Had the same last night, drove me nuts, total freeze, been a while since i've had to press the reset button 3 times!, gave up then. BF3 and Bioshock.

Spec in sig. I went back to 314.22 from the latest. Not gamed today, but will try later.

Nvidea have gone to the dogs, roll on the next AMD refresh.

If you find a solution, please let me know. I've gone to the new drivers and it's crashed twice in 20 mins.

If you test it, let me know and I may revert to older drivers and yes, AMD is looking very enticing at the moment.

ditch the 320's go either 314.22 or 310.90 . if you have LucidMVP turn it off for BF3 or find the fixed revision that was supposed to sort out the BF3 crash (although that never worked for my system) hope this helps :)

Thanks, will try 314 now.

Not sure what 'LucidMVP' is so you can asume I'm not using it. :D

Thanks for your help.

Hi Snips,

I stared getting that DX error after going Win8. The only way I could stop it was to remove EVGA precision and the onscreen FPS server which came with it 'Riva Tuner'.
I still cant run Riva Tuner to get an onscreen display FPS for my GTX Titan.
I use the in game FPS counter.
That is the only way I can play BF3 without this error I have re-formatted 2 or 3 times and it is perfect until you install this software.
Re-installation of Direct X or Nvidia drivers never fixed it for me.
I have my Titan under water now so I know it is not an overclocking issue as many forums have stated, (it is rock solid@1110/6800 1.2v)
Hope this helps mate as it was really annoying for me.
I am now running the 320.49's with no issues on BF3 running 2560x1600.

MSI AB has been pretty stable for me. I've seen a few BSOD with EVGA precision in the past so don't really use it any more.

i was having the same problem with my brand new gtx 660 it last 20hours and now it won't work at all. you need to go back to older drivers.

I am new to Nividia but coming from AMD now using GTX770 and 320.49 with win 7 64bit not a fresh install and all is good here especially in BF3 best i have every seen it smoothness ect...

just an Suggestion if you have oc your card try lowing the oc down,i had the same sort of prob with 314,320 drivers and also with 320.49 drivers i lowered the oc and all is ok now
am running 320.49 with no probs now

Try disabling SLI as i noticed post 1 an 2 are both running SLI.

Kind of defeats the object of SLI. Will have to try 314.90 as 314.22 is crashing Crysis 3 also.

They are stock mate. Motherboard is a dog and cannot cope with CPU & GPU O/C.

Strangely enough, I downgraded to 314.22 the other day and forgot to set my SLI profile once the install had completed. It crashed earlier today.
