Very small program I made that direct links to the download page for many popular manufacturers. It beats manually searching the site. It doesnt need to be installed and takes up just over 1MB. It DOES require .net 4.0 This thread was originally made at TPU http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150562 I figured my OCUK friends would find it useful. Changes alterations reccomendations comments etc always welcome!

XP users, you are going to need atleast SP3 and .net 4

honestly, while I think anyone like yourself that enjoys creating programs is great, what does your software do over someone creating a spreadsheet with the links in?

Now, depending on how advanced you want to go, what I would prefer to see is a program that scans my pc, analyses the hardware, finds the currently installed drivers and versions and then checks to see if they are the latest ones.

I am a bugger for not updating drivers, at least not until something doesn't work like gfx card drivers.

You could then add in the ability to download the drivers automatically, install them, roll them back if needed etc.

Thanks I appreciate the comment. I suppose it is no different then a spread sheet or maybe even an HTML page with links. the purpose of it or rather my "Target" audience is the PC inept. My aim was to make finding or updating a driver easy for the common mail checker. If you format or if your PC is bugging you etc. its as easy as finding the picture and clicking it. I think it would be a lot less stressful then a wall of text or needing to open excel and find the right link in a grid.
