Driver install 4870X2 + windows Vista!

Hi,

I've posted this also under windows software but only had 1 reply. Thought it maybe good to post it here to.

Specs
9450 3.6Gz Intel
4870x2
4gb Ram
Vista 64 Home edition
Hans G 28inc LCD

Now the problem is that I tried to uninstall the old drivers for my card and the monitor went blank so i waited a bit for the drivers to uninstall (hopefully). I then rebooted the PC and it wouldnt show anything on the monitor once it got passed the boot log etc (that displayed fine) but i could hear windows boot up. I then tried to go into safemode (to driver clean) but it wouldnt boot up in safemode it would 'hang'.

I then decided to try an old GF card and bingo it worked and i'm typing here so any ideas? I carnt seem to get the ATI card to work now to run through the driver checks and install the 4870x2 again.

Have you tried it with a different screen or in a different pc?

othere than that im lost? :S

Got al power connectors in? What psu you using?

Had the same problem a while ago! in the end I swapped to an old 1900xt and installed the latest cats and then swapped cards back over. now I just update the display driver and then do the cat suite after and it seems to work fine like that.
