So unfortunately I've had some pretty major issues that are far beyond me.
I received a Saitek x52 pro today and I believe the drivers are behind my problems primarily. Upon attempting to install drivers everything seemed fine until I attempted to adjust setting on the joystick, after this point the program locks up and I attempt to restart windows. Windows fails to restart so I attempt a manual shutdown. At this point I just want to remove any traces of the drivers but they do not appear in the list of installed programs and attempting to launch games with the joystick plugged in leads to further lock ups.
Chrome has also failed to launch a number of times.. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: Everything runs fine without the x52 pro plugged in but I can't quite seem to completely remove the drivers.
Final Edit: manage to fix it! The controller doesn't play well with usb 3.0, had to disable that function entirely from the bios and it worked fine after that.
