i have a hard drive that stopped going in to windows and i need the data so i put the drive into another pc. the hard drive shows up but with no drive letter how can i give it a drive letter? as the normal way would be to go to manage and so on but it wont give me the option.

any ideas?

In control panel go to Administrative settings>computer management>disk managment then right click the drive click drive letters then add a letter (c) for example

wont give me the option 2 do that. i need some sort of program to do it for me i used have something called PR that worked in dos but cant find it

thanks for your help but i cant see the drive in My Computer but i can see it when i go to manage. basiclly i need to give it its partition back i think. the data is all there in recovery console. i support i could tranfer it over file by file but it would take hours if not days.
