Long story short, brought new laptop. Samsung R580, wiped it clean and installed Win7 Ultimate 32. Pretty much got all the drivers bar the wireless, in desperate need of it, have been searching for over 4 hours now and tried a whole bunch of diffrent ones. The 2 off the samsung site, 1 does not work and the other does not download correctley, ( windows says that the .zip file is corrupt and cannot be opened)

If anyone can point me in the right direction i would be very very greatfull and owe you 1 !

p.s the driver from windows 7 update identifies it as Realtek RTL819E but it displays no wireless networks and when you do a repair it says 2 problem with driver"

Thanks ever so much in advance

Have you tried going to device manager, right click the device and go to properties.
On the Details tab change the dropdown to 'Hardware ID's'.

Try searching google with those id's or post them here you may find something.

Thanks, the hardware ID is PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8192&CC_0280

Still no luck, i'm in need of serious help !

Well it looks like it's probably a Realtek 8192E.

This link should get you what you need. Under the downloads section go for 'RTL8192E (Software)' and get the Windows 7 driver.
It may not be right so be prepared to try the other 8192 links.

You could also have a duff card, which would be pretty unfortunate.

Right, I've plugged in A USB Netgear wireless dongle and even that does not pick up any networks. It works fine on my other pc running windows7, I'm thinking maybe a windows 7 issue but i am really not sure what, ?

Thanks for Driver link Little Crow

That's what i thought - it's all working now. With no wireless USB dongles working it started me thinking. I did a system restore and installed the wireless driver first from fresh and it worked straight away. Don't know what i did to cause the problem in the first place? Maybe a driver that was incorrect affected windows 7 or something like that.

Only other issue is that its wireless N and as it router but it only says that its connected at 150mbps and not 300mbps which my acer timeline was connected at.
