driver problem whilst playing a game

Had vista for a while now with no issues (32bit, then upgraded to 64bit), but i just installed conflict global terror( i no its not a good game lol, but wanted it for 4 player co op with friends), and it loads up fine but when you get into the game it is very low fps, weird artifacts, and the screen goes black for a few seconds then comes back on, then when i quit it says i had an error with 'nvlddmkm' in it, like a display error or something.

Any ideas?
 
i turned off uac and made sure 'run as admistrater' was ticked, and that fixed it for about 10 minutes, then it crashed and had the same error, any ideas? Ive tried a load of things from the nvdia site like chaning to classic view and running it in different compatibility modes etc.
