ok its a laptop, but its purely a software problem as far as i can see. i got me a shiny new sony vaio fw11s which has a bluray writer. no problems there. however, if i put it to sleep and wake it up, it fails to load the drivers for the bd drive.
the drive in question is a matshita bd-mlt uj-220s usb device, according to my device manager. when i pull up the properties for the drive after coming out of sleep, i get this:
does anybody know a solution for this?
edit: oh, its vista home premium sp1 btw lol. that would help

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
