Driver queries for upgrade path from a AMD RX 6950xt to RX 7900xtx

This maybe a silly question but im currently running a RX 6950XT upgrading to a RX 7900XTX, im wandering seeing as the driver download seems to be the same size & version number, is it a good idea to just put the 7900XTX in the PC or uninstall the current driver to install what looks like the same driver ?

If not how do i keep all of the settings for the games that ive had to change individually from the Global settings in order for them to run better, how do i save them so i can use them with a fresh install of the Adrenalin software for my new GPU ?
 
Its best practice to completely remove the old driver and install the new driver even though it might be the same file.
 
The gpu will probably just prompt you to update the drivers anyway. Just make sure to tick the fullest option when changing gpu as it should remove the older driver.
