Hi

I have recently been playing Warhammer 40K but seem to have menu text display issues that a known issue with the game, particularly with ati and my card. I have the latest drivers 6.11 and probably upgrade tonight to 6.12.

Anyway i managed to come across the solution to the menu text issue as i am currently forced to play on 16-bit rather than 32 as this stops it from happening but obviously the colours are no where near as nice.

On another forum someone had posted that they found a way that i can switch back 32 bit colour and fix this text issue. This is what they posted.

"disable Catalyst AI in your driver settings. As easy as that. ".

2 things i would like to know before i blindly implement this.

1. Would i disable this in CCC?

2. Should i be concerned if i disable this as i don;t really know what AI controls and what affect or impact it would have on other apps and games.

1. Yes its found under 3D settings in CCC
2. The only noticeable thing that you would lose is FPS in other games, but it is easy to switch on and off if there is any problems
 
Catalyst AI just reduces graphical quality by using driver optimisations so you maintain high frame-rates, ive never used it myself, always left it disabled, as everything flys maxed out anyway, your not supposed to be able to see a difference though if you have it on. :)

Not a bad little article here about Cat AI, and what it is/does.
