Hi
Can any experts point me in the direction of a driver to enable my Sony Vaio with 4gb, win10, and Mobile IntelR 4 Series ExpressChipset WDDM 1.1 to run nearly new 2k 27" screen

I have a Acer 1440 2k IPS monitor and after playing with OSD i cannot get it to be as clear as the laptop screen, the colours are dirty and small text is blurry.
its at max 1920 1080.
Photos i edit on lap top look clear/crisp but on Acer look dirty and dark.

I have read that i can run this screen through the crappy laptop but cannot find the drivers
 
If laptop maker's site doesn't have drivers, then next stop is maker of its GPU.
Which I guess is integrated and from Intel in this case.
Hard to say without knowing actually accurate data of products in question.

And if you edit photos 8GB would be really minimum RAM for Wintoys10.
 
Yes im only using laptop till i get pc back, it has 24gb and a 1070ti which runs all 3 of my 2k's.
The only info on laptop gpu is above...how can i find out more than that
 
I don't know if it would help, but I downloaded Dell drivers so that Windows would correctly identify my monitor.
You can also try adjusting Window Cleartype.

As far as i understand this lap top cannot run this screen but iv been told a driver can make it better..
