Drivers both AMD/Nvidia - The Future

Well, considering AMD still haven't released a crossfire profile for ED. I'm kinda hoping Fury will bring some better drivers with it.

Devs prioritise making money and once the game is available the less they can get away with doing the better from their view point.

Civ BE is still available to buy so why have they not fixed Mantle for it, one word "money".

You are making it sound like mantle is broken when it is not. Just because their multi gpu setup does not scale beyond 2 cards does not make it broken.

And i already know what you mean with certain publisher and developers practices, is the main reason i don't buy EA games anymore considering how many franchises they have *******ised over the last decade and half.

Mantle is not broken, the game devs have abused it.

I actually feel sorry for AMD who did the hard work developing Mantle and also for producing DX11 drivers that do work with Civ BE.

Yeah, well here is hope that the guys making 'Ashes of the singularity' do a good job with directx12/mantle etc and that the alpha is decent.

I don't think they abused it, developers didn't really have time to properly evolve and make use of the efficiency at a lower level. Buffer management being a big part of the new open doors policy. As we saw with Mantle, it's quite easy to make a hash of this - but I wouldn't call it abuse. More likely force fed implementation. This is why I didn't agree with PC games accounting for more than one API, time is obviously lost on both.
