Hopefully this is okay here. I got some cheap bluetooth headphones for my son's laptop - they are listed as working with phones/tablets etc, which I paired fine with an Asus Transformer, no problems.

When I try and pair with Windows 7 it recognizes them, but then says it needs to look for drivers - doesn't find any and therefore doesn't work. I've tried manually searching but there doesn't seem to be any on the Bluechip website.

According to the guy in the shop, they will work with Windows - he mentioned disabling my current sound which I've tried, but still no joy.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any generic bluetooth headphone drivers that might be worth a shot?

Well I messaged the company on twitter and all they said was "Works with PC, Ipad, Android devices, Enjoy!!". I messaged them back about Windows 7 drivers but have yet to have a reply.

Just to add to this, Windows 7 recognizes the device as Freedom 180, but then says it's installing drivers and fails. So in device manager I'm left with Freedom 180 (picture of a bluetooth headset) but a "!" next to it.

If no one has a scooby I will take them back to the shop tomorrow for refund.

Do they have Vista drivers? You could try giving them a go.

They don't have any drivers. The guy said they "Do not need drivers, we just paired some with Windows 7, they work fine".

I'm not saying he's lying but for some reason they do not work with 2 pc's.

Odd.

Last time I had problems with my bluetooth headphones, I completely uninstalled all drivers and software relating to bluetooth and the headset and made sure that the bluetooth service was started. Also uninstall and remove drivers from Device Manager, and possible even a registry clean.
