It should be fine (as the 480 and 580 are the same chip), and I'm 95% sure it'll work absolutely fine after a reboot with the new card in.
However, I personally would still uninstall and install the latest drivers just to be on the safe side - it's possible the installer left something uninstalled that the 480 didn't need that the 580 does, so for the sake of 5 minutes I'd rather be 100% sure it's all working fully. But I'm probably over cautious!
