This might be something of an odd question, but I have a Lenovo laptop which is partially supported on windows 8.1 but not really on Windows 10 (so it's on 8.1).
Some missing drivers were causing issues so I installed Driver Easy, and was surprised to find that many of the drivers I thought I'd installed from Lenovo had actually been installed from Microsoft and were in some cases years old (up to ten!)
Examples are PCI Bridge & System Devices.
Some of the older ones I have updated (direct from Intel rather than Driver Easy) it's difficult to say whether it's made a big difference but the question is would this make a difference and should these drivers be updated regularly?
Obviously these are not graphics drivers, but 10 years is getting a bit long in the tooth!
So I thought I'd check the PC with Windows 10 (X99 Deluxe, 5820) and found that windows had again installed some ancient drivers despite the Asus ones having (I thought) been installed.
Is this something anyone else has noticed? Is it normal, and should this be corrected with the latest drivers?
