Drivers on cd

I haven't built a system in going on maybe 8 years and haven't used a cd drive in that time either. I was wondering if hardware now comes with a usb drive containing software and drivers or do I have to download it all now.

@Pete Tong dont listen to these guys they obviously haven’t built a box ina while either, things have moved on and we’ve got floppy drives now

I very rarely see CDs in boxes, mostly things like monitors at work; but they are always available as downloads too when they have sent a coaster like that.

Download the latest drivers before building and stick them on a USB stick. Don't use the ones that come with the board as they will be out of date. Update the motherboard bios to the latest version as well.

Yes download the drivers online is best way, even if it did come on a usb stick you do not want these as their out of date already.

Download before you build, especially if you're relying on WiFi for your connection. Worst case, you can USB tether an Android phone without drivers for internet access.
