Is there a free site out there, every search offers a free download, it loads Driver detective, am i the only one with this problem is there a free site out there.

I'm not aware of a free site, although Driver Agent will tell you (or certainly used to) which component's drivers are out of date so that you can go directly to the manufacturer.

Not ideal, but it's a viable solution.
