Drivers?

Are the drivers the same for all of their Wireless routers? I wouldn't have thought that but i seriously can't find this anywhere. Have to get this round to a friends in a bit so it's quite important...

If you installed anything it was just the cra..stuff they ship with you never need. The gui is web based, type the routers ip into your browser and just log in.

If you download anything it'll be firmware which is on the router, not the pc.

It doesn't need drivers. At best, what you installed was some kind of management utility that's unnecessary.

positive

connect using ethernet, then use your internet browser to connect to the IP address that the DHCP server has

start, run, cmd
ipconfig

the DNS/DHCP ip is what you should type in.

probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254

find out the admin username/password for it first, then enter the connection details into the router

That makes sense, it was some sort of setup thing in which i gave it the ISP's details. So, i just do that all in the control panel?

At above, i'm pretty sure it's 192.168.2.1.

what are you trying to do mate?

if you've got a new pc for example, the router will still know all the details

basically a router a low spec pc itself

Yes, if you need to configure it you can do it through the router's web interface without installing anything.

I used this router for a while, but i've got a friend who's using the frog and i'll just use this instead for a while until their ISP gets them a free one.
