jus wondering if there is a way to see if all drivers are upto date and if they aren't download them all at once?

or do i just have to go to all the different brand sites?

thanks

You don't need to do either. Go to your motherboards manufacturers website if it's a custom pc and download them all there.

If it's a branded OEM pc, like Dell, HP or Compaq. Just go to their website and put in the model number. They should all appear.

Dont bother with driver genius etc. It's only good for finding unknown drivers.

Interesting idea. I've been wondering the same. Not just for motherboard but PCI boards, add ons etc. Although I have never consciously sought such a program, I have briefly scanned the occasional review for such utilities. It seems they are error prone and therefore potentially problematic. Always a good idea to do a full backup prior to experimenting with them I would suggest.

But like I said, I haven't really looked in to them. Anyone got any experience with the likes of this?

Windows Update also displays drivers for your hardware in the "optional updates" section, although iirc they are usually the WHQL ones and may not be the very latest version.

If you really want to use a utility. I use Driver Genius. Serves me well for finding drivers I don't know where to look, e.g. old motherboards with no brand etc.

However. I wouldn't guarantee it to be the latest. For all the time it takes to visit the manufacturers site of your mobo, tv card and gpu. Maybe a raid card, wifi... 5 mins tops... to save a lot of hassle and guarantee the latest stable release of the driver.
