I hate people who don't drive at the correct speed on a road, it drives me crazy!

If the road allows you to drive at 60mph then drive at 60mph! Not 40 or 45... 60!

The worst thing is, when they get to a 30mph road... they keep going at 40

Don't forget that the speed limit is the maximum speed you're meant to travel at in ideal conditions - it doesn't mean that it's always safe to travel at that speed.

However I agree on the second point, I also dislike people who travel at say 40mph regardless of the speed limit, whether is be 30 or 60!!

I agree, i think they may even have changed the language in the highway code so that it doesnt state 'limit' instead they use 'signposted speed'.

Other gripes include those who travel at the correct speed but then brake when they come to speed camera

and those peopl that sit int he overtaking lane of a dual carriageway becuase they want to go right at the roundbaout thats still 1 mile down the road.

Oh and of course there are those BMW 4x4 idiots i mentioned a few days ago that overtake despite oncoming traffic

So, on single track country lanes that are designated the National Speed Limit, you thinki we should all bomb about at 60mph?

It would be carnage!

I hate people who feel the need to announce their pet hates on an internet forum, it drives me crazy.

If you're complaining about driving and the forum has a motors section, at least post in motors! Not GD, or SC, but... Motors!

The worst thing is, when someone posts to complain about something that has been posted several times before.

I would also appriciate it if a motoring organisation did a qualitative study to see how many people actually know what this sign means:

I dont mean multiple choice becuase they'd probably guess then. I mean show them an image of the sign and ask them what it it means, writing down their responses.

The number of car drivers i've seen who go into a 40 zone, slow to 40mph but then on leaving it (and passing a NSL sign) dont speed up to 60mph becuase they havent seen a 60mph sign. :(

Driving at 10mph on a motorway is just plain dangerous. Tbh i think driving stupidly slow is just as hazardous to others as someone bombing it. Hate it when im doing 60 and someone pulls out down the road and continues at 40mph, causing me to slam on the brakes.

Then more often than not turn off at the very next junction.

I'll vote for Clarksons proposal to set up snipers on overpasses and as soon as someone dips 1mph below the speed limit he/she is sniped.

Many people here (usually females, old people or foreigners) drive 40mph on a 50mph road and continue to drive 40mph when the road enters a village and the limit drops to 30mph.
That annoys me a lot more than people driving 50mph on the motorway.

If I tried to do a constant 60mph on some of the twisty country lanes near be then I doubt it would end well... :p

I agree - I drive a LOT for my work, and often down windy country roads which are unfamiliar to me. There is no way I'd be able to drive down some of those roads at the NSL without being a considerable danger to myself and others.
