Although I have 2 TFT's in my office, I only have one connected to my games machine due to me running 2*6800GT's in SLI - therefore it will only allow me to use a single display.
I'm considering an upgrade (possibly a 7950GTX if I can get it cheap enough) and wondered about driving 2 displays from this card.
Ideally, I will upgrade 1 TFT to a 22" widescreen 1680*1050, which will be my main screen for gaming, and then have a 17" 1280*1024 as aprt of an extended desktop.
When gaming I'd like to run the game in full screen on the widescreen with other apps such as TS/xfire on the secondary screen.
Is this workable?
If I cannot do it on the 7950, can I do it on another card?

Cheers

You can do it, but if you try to use the apps on the secondary screen then the game will typically minimise, and some (poorly coded) games go a bit wonky when you try to switch back to them. Vista improves matters somewhat, but I'll assume you're on XP. You could do all this on a single 6800GT, but as you've mentioned, SLi doesn't allow it (unless I'm not up-to-date on SLi).
