Driving instructor dragging out lessons, advice needed.

it really must be harder to pass now that it was a few years ago. I got mine in 2002 i think it was after 4 hours of lessons - estimating 50 hrs is a joke really. Just trying to screw you big time.

Let me guess, you got in the car having never drivien before and passed after 4 hours? right so you did, I'll just bet you practiced in somebodys car and then got the 4 hours just before the test, so how much 'Private' practice did you have.

Oh and yes we dont have any right to make a living and all ADI's are just out to screw the pupils, who cares if the tests harder (Which it is) or if you pass the test then die 2 weeks later as a result of a lack of experiance.

You sound like my old instructor. He asked me on the first lesson, did I want to learn to drive or did I want to pass my test? I replied the former and he said "That's fine, if it was the latter I'd advise you to look for another instructor and I'd have refunded your first lesson, no hard feelings"

Is your name Tony? :D
Mine said there are two types of people in the world, "drivers" and "steer'ers" and he tried to make everyone a driver, was a legend :D

I did about 14 lessons with him before i passed, but i did quite a lot of normal driving with my dad, probably double what i did with my instructor at least.

Ok it wasnt intensive, just driving to swimming and work and things that you would do day to day, but it allowed me to pickup on other things i might not have done, when to expect someone to be a moron and stuff. So when things do happen i had some experience and could deal with them without panicing.

Plus driving dads old car was a tank and made driving my instructors a doddle compared!
