Driving Instructors - getting worse?

People have been getting proper education via competent instructors for decades, yet they still go on to develop bad driving habits, make mistakes, foul up, allow their minds to drift, or otherwise willfully break the laws of the road... It's nothing new and many of them know full well they're doing wrong, but choose to do so anyway and no amount of instruction will stop them from doing this.

So unless you're about to come up with some genius plan for road enforcement that will prevent people from being people, you're all out of equally retarded challenges...
Hence enforcement of regulations...

Also how do you know they've received proper education? Clearly, again as per the point if this thread, some instructors are crap.

So why even bother pushing the first angle, when even driving instructors doing their job properly cannot prevent people from being idiots?

Jesus Christ.
The whole point of my first post in this thread, was that I had witnessed driving instructors quite clearly not doing their job properly by seemingly not enforcing correct lane discipline on their students. And that I had seen them not even abiding by correct lane discipline when driving alone - meaning that some of them may never do their job properly, because they aren't even aware what it is they are doing wrong, to be able to instruct their students not to do it!

From that logic why require a test at all?
There's an argument for that, as well as one for regular re-testing.
But in all walks of life, no matter how fantastic the instructor, so long as human beings retain the capacity for free action they will make mistakes and act according to their own judgement of what is acceptable. The thread on here where people quite proudly spoke of driving with only one hand (or even just a couple of digits) on the wheel is testament to that... and as we know, everyone on OCUK is a perfect driver!!

So you either enforce against free action, or enforce what you can and learn to work around the rest.

Jesus Christ.
Wrong thread. You want the Catholic one over on the other board :)

Having been in the wrong lane while under instruction a couple of times myself, there are times when it will happen and it may not be appropriate to change back immediately... I usually got my mistake explained to me first, so long as I wasn't presenting any drastic danger at the time. I'd assume something like that was going on at the time and treat it no different to bad driving from any other full licence holder.

And that I had seen them not even abiding by correct lane discipline when driving alone - meaning that some of them may never do their job properly, because they aren't even aware what it is they are doing wrong, to be able to instruct their students not to do it!
That may be so... or they may fall into their own bad habits only when not in charge of a student. Again, my own instructor spoke about some common habits, including her own that she battles with, presumably to put a human slant on things.

But at some point that instructor would have been tested and approved. So without taking it to the extreme of daily calibration of the instructor's ability or spot-checks and monitoring, what else can you do? I assume they have to keep updated on the laws and someone watches over them?
What also of examiners - Do they get checked periodically, to make sure they're good enough to judge someone else's driving?
