Im from Ipswich and so far haven't a clue of which company to go with.

I have £230 saved up + another £20 every week.

Is it worth starting now? Doing a lesson a week?

Or save up the whole load then go for it?

My birthday is April so my parents will donate some money then to hopefully finish me off.

How much Lessons does the Average person do?

Anyone know of someone in Ipswich who is good?

Any help on this would be great! As im looking to do this as quick as possible.

:)

Bitchplz.

I'd recommend doing an intensive course! There is a guy me and my mates used from stowmarket who was excellent and we all passed first time. That was a few years back now, but if you can find him i highly recommend the guy.
Cant remember any details tho, other than his number plate read N3RVY or something.
If I can find any details I'll post them up

U mean like a crash course?

Would be highly appreicated BigShotPie :)

Well my brother did 30 and his instructor said he needed 50 more.

I cant afford anything like that :(

I think the recommended amount is 40 lessons plus practise outside of lesson. For example your father taking you out in his car.

However most people don't take anywhere near this long, it totally depends on your knowledge of the road and confidence.

I'm currently taking lessons with BSM. At 20 odd quid a lesson its a bit steep but my instructor is brilliant. I'd ask some of your friends who they're with.

I used the AA - 9 hours of lessons later I had my licence :) Passed first time.

Same story with my sister, though she took a few more lessons.

To be honest I think some instructors just want to rip people off. Like if demand is a bit low, they'll just say you need more lessons, regardless. Thats business! unless of course you are blatantly hopeless.

Yeah like a crash course, Bitchplz.
I'll try and dig his details up for you.

I did 3 days with the guy and on the 4th I did my test and passed.
When I mean days, you do like 4 hours each day, either morning or afternoon.

Bitchplz,
Iv managed to find his number.
01449 781 849
The guys name is Dennis Millier.
However it could be wrong or he might not be instructing, my sister used him last, about 3-4 years ago, so things might have changed. But it give the number a call and find out.

Good Luck

i had 5 lessons and failed with 9 minors and a major in observation :(

having a few more though before booking another test

im with driverite if that helps :)

£22 an hour and £50 to take you to test for use of car etc  but i guess thats the going rate now

Ask around see which company is the cheapest and has a good pass % !
i had about 45 - 50 lessons like - but he was a slow instructor probs could have done it with another company for quite a few less !!!!
(ow and watch out for driving in the snow hahaha sum lass just slid instructors car into another car in my street bless her)

Ask family to take you out for a drive, only take what you really need for the test.

Saves a lot of $£

Thanks Matey ill give him a call when i finish work.

Well i spoke to a few friends last night they have recommended a local company called Alpha. And i have bought a 5disc Driving Test Package.

With info on your theory, practical and hazard perception :)

So ill probably do them for a week. Then either do a crash course or do intense lessons of around 3 a week then hopefully pass after 25 lessons or so.

Fingers crossed!
