I bought a Winfast DTV1000T tv card a while ago and cant install it. I installed it into the mobo and the computer recognises a video and audio controller. When i then try and install the drivers and software it either says cannot find drivers (even when i download and point the installer to the file) or if i do it via the disk it comes up with "Not Supported! - ;;2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158" I did previously manage to install the drivers once but the card still didnt work. I have formatted and reinstalled windows a couple of times and it still doesnt work. Any ideas as its really starting to annoy me. I think i may go out and buy another card and see if that works but i dont think the card is broken and im a little confused as to why it wont even install the drivers now!

I actually managed to install the drivers for the card just now using a download from the leadtek website. I then restarted without trying it and all the drivers had uninstalled themselves again and they won't reinstall even when i point them to the same folder.

Any ideas would be really appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks, I dont get it as they are the same drivers i used and before when i first tried to install the card (they're on the cd). They are definitly xp drivers that i downloaded to. I will have a go at installing other drivers though and see if they work.

Ok well i tried installing the tv card on another (third one) computer. It installed perfectly and i actually managed to get a really grainy off colour image throught the s-video and composite connections from a video camera (can only assume its a problem with the card as the image is usually clear) but there was still no digital tv signal whatsoever. The cable being used is fine i tried in on a tv and the signal is perfect too (we have digital and analogue tv's in the house).

I then went out and bought a happaruge wintv-hvr 13000 and tried that. its installed fine but there is still no signal for digital tv, the analogue tuner pics up some "channels" but they dont display or have any sound. The component and s-video doesnt work either.

I relly dont have a clue whats wrong. Its a little wierd that neither one seems to work (although the hauppauge may work its just the software is shocking). It seems i can build and mod pc all day long without a problem but trying t install a TV card is beyond my ability!
