I've been trying to locate the MAC address for my windows mobile device but its not happening. Web suggests it should be start, settings, connections, wireless lan and then mac but I have no wireless lan icon in that view  I'm using mobile 5 (on a symbol scanner). My view just has wifi and a few others. cant understand why its not in the system info tabs  Please help if you can, I'm going off my skull here. Thanks in advance.

click Start/Run
type CMD
Press Enter

Type IPCONFIG /ALL

The resultant display should show your ip and MAC :)

Edit Just realise you said Mobile device, sorry, no good :(

Does the device connect to the router OK?

If so you could login to the router and look it up that way.

Thanks Telsa: Yeah, I popped the ap onto a test network minus any security and allowed the device to connect. I got it that way. Can't understand why its not available somewhere in the OS though.

they used to print them on a little sticker, and either put it on the back of the device or on the box, Its soo anoying how manufacturers arent providing ways to find out important info about devices.
