Hi guys i have recently retired and would like to treat myself by replacing my 6yr old pc which is having a few problems , i built it myself but have been out of the loop for all this time , i have about 2 grand to spend and would like a gaming pc , my problem is do i buy a pre built pc ie ryzen or wait for an alderlake set up which is more future proof ie ddr5 etc there are some nice amd prebuilds ,but do i build my own ,or as as i Said wait for alderlake and can i afford their prices ie cpu/mboard ,gpu .any advise would be welcome.

i like the prebuilt Sabre with the 12600k in it which would see me ok for a few years and then when ddr5 and motherboards and grafics card settle down i would have a path to follow ? or am i going the wrong path . there are some nice ryzen builds as well but i cant make up my mind .
