Good day!

yeh, i find i do this every now and then

im not sure if it is good or not... part of me wants to be aware of whats going on right now but then I also feel that stuff that you can do subconsciously is always performed better (ever try to think about your breathing? screws up the rhythm :p)

Lo Thar!

Yep, your not the only one, you suddenly realise you've just travelled miles and have no recollection of the journey..

A little scary, but I'd guess if something happened your attention would be gained pretty quick..

Thanks

Andi

To Whom It May Concern,

I occasionally find myself at the end of a journy with no recollection of how the journy began nor what happened on route.

Jeeves

Good Morning

This has indeed happened to me on several occasions. It is rather scary, but I think you most likely are aware of whats going on, you just dont remember what you did.

Whats this thread about?

Love to the family,

Andrew

Greetings,

Whilst i do not drive, I have experienced this when engaging upon my walk to university. I realise I have walked a good 5 minutes and have no recollection of doing so. Very odd.

Sincerely, Rich

Hai2u2,

As you become more experienced, many aspects of driving become subconcious - so if you are particularly drowsy you probably will go onto autopilot. Note however that your reactions will likely slow a lot though - so it's not a great situation to be in.

Best wishes,

NickXX

Dear sir,

Allow me to have my say, for i have to agree that this has happened to me too, especially on journeys i take every day, infact, it happened just today, i was supposed to stop at the petrol station on the way to work, i forgot , now i hope i have enough petrol to get me to work tomorrow.

Yours faithfully

Good Evening,

I too have found this thread to be equally fulfilling in both amusement and hilarity as well. To emphasise my point I have quoted a fellow forum poster who goes by the name of sKiBa.

Kind Regards

I drove back from London this week and i found myself doing this, i got a bit freaked by it thinking i was going to sleep.

Dear home owner,

I too have done this a few times, when going to the same place time and time again it's easy to not remember the last few mins, it's not dangerous as if something were to happen you would still be alert; all that is happening is that your not remembering what happened.

Join today and receive this charming carriage clock, once you join.

:)

Yep, happens regularly to me, but always on the same road. It a 30mph limit road thats very wide, very long and pretty often very empty. After your half way up it you think your going walking pace and kinda go into a trance.

Good morning,

I experienced this a few hours ago along the M6. For a good few minutes, I was lost in thought and when I came to my senses, I thought "...dear lord, what just happened?". I was surprised I was still equidistant from both white lane seperators.

Stay conscious and drive safe,

Ken

This can happen to me sometimes, but totally at the wrong time, has anyone ever gone out of their house, gone 2 miles down the road, and then cannot remember if they locked their front door or not?
