The only people who advocate controllers over wheels are those that cannot afford a decent wheel.
To me it's ridiculous even to discuss which is better, to be honest it's laughable.
No feedback letting you know when the car goes light or Heavy !!!
No torque steer !!!
Absolutely no sensation of opposite lock or feel through the wheel !!!
The whole action of driving is natural when using a wheel where as a controller is totally unnatural.
In all my years racing i have only ever known one guy who was competitive with a controler and he is a Freak.
Maybe some of these kids are better with a controller because they have never sat behind a wheel but anybody normal will drive Loads better with a wheel.

I'm really not sure what to answer here.

-I've got a wheel, but it's been sat in it's box for the last 5 years. Motorhead was the main game I tried using it for, and I was slower than using keyboard.
-Joypad (analog) is good depending on the game, but sometimes a little unconfortable.
-Keyboard has the advantage of being able to INSTANTLY reverse steering polarity, there is no delay while you move the wheel/pad/stick from left<->right. But you have to use the 'tap' method for small adjustments which isn't ideal (especially for acceleration at starts).

I do think it makes a big difference what games you play though. For arcade racers kb/pad is fine IMO.

Wheel here. No other answer.

Currently have a Driving Force Pro. Will be upgrading to G25 when it arrives.

Vroom vroom . . . :D

Wheel for sims and arcade racers as well. DFP at the moment but I think a G25 will be on its way :)

I used to use a pad for LFS and was pretty quick, but once I had got used to the wheel my laptimes came plummeting down.

I think a major advantage that hasn't been mentioned yet are the pedals. With the feedback through the wheel I can really feel when the car is on the edge of grip and can feather the throttle or dab the brake lightly to keep it on the road. Also, left foot braking isn't really do-able unless you have a wheel & pedals.
